If there ever was a key to the success of any project boat it is surely Persistence. There will be days and weeks where you feel like you are making no progress or worse yet going backwards. The trick is not to get discouraged and give up. You need to keep moving even if it does not feel like you will ever reach the end. One of the biggest mistakes I see is the guy who leaps in and has untold enthusiasm only to quickly fade and give up early. A project boat is not a race or contest it is a journey and must be taken one step at a time. I have always liked the analogy of eating the elephant. You cannot eat it whole but you have to proceed slowly one bite at a time, you will one day find you have eaten the whole thing. The trick is to keep moving keep the momentum even if it is a bit slow. Slow and steady is better than a fast crash and burn. Don’t get discouraged by slow progress there will be good and bad days, enjoy the good ones and forget the bad. But never stop moving never stop pushing forward your reward will be the success of your goals.
Persistence will separate you from the ones who fail!
